Palm Beach County is probably the most well known county in the country and arguably the world. Attracting the rich and famous for years due to the fabulous weather, pristine beaches, world class golf, equine activities and upscale living. As Florida's popularity has flourished, so has our real estate market creating more of a demand to move westward. Wellington had humble beginnings consisting of mostly swampland. In the 1950s, a man by the name of Charles Oliver Wellington had the foresight to purchase these waterlogged 18,000 acres of land and transform it into fertile farmland. Throughout the years, pieces of the land have been sold and eventually fell in the hands of developers. The Investment Corporation of Florida and the Alcoa Company began construction of a planned community called Wellington. More and more people migrated from the north and expanded the residential market west making the Western Communities the "hottest" areas for real estate in Palm Beach County. Our neighborhoods offer a variety of options with opportunities to meet everyone's needs. The equestrian industry has a strong presence in Wellington and Loxahatchee. Many of our neighborhoods are zoned for horses featuring top-of-the-line barns, jump fields, arenas and the like. In addition to the horse communities, we have several exclusive neighborhoods highlighting grand estate homes, golf courses, manned gates and more. Lot sizes range from zero lot lines to 5-plus acre parcels if you prefer. As you can see, Wellington, Loxahatchee and West Palm Beach are well equipped to please the most discriminating buyers!
